A Poem on Jerusalem
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou war torn city of peace, when will your Messiah return and endless strivings cease? From times of old and ancient prophecies foretold, the glorious kingdom and Master's plan unfold!
It is He that sits above the circle of the earth Encamped around the heavenly city of immeasurable worth. When she is surrounded and her enemies encroach That which has been planted, foes shall fail to poach!
The lion shall rest by the lambkin's feet, feasting on herbs of the field for their meat. The people shall not learn war anymore Under the iron rod of Messianic lore!
For a thousand years the evil one will be bound, no trace of the serpents schemings shall be found. The wretched carnal human heart that was concealed, shall in the millennium be revealed!
A nation born at once for all to see, the Seer Isaiah's fulfilled prophecy. People of promise scattered to and fro, Back to the Holy land you shall go ! |
