A POEM ON GOD'S PROVIDENCE IRRESPECTIVE OF THE SITUATION!
You meant it for evil but God meant it for good, was what Joseph's brothers only now understood. Envy, dissension, bitterness and hate, guided by providence, not the cruel hand of fate. From slavery, imprisonment, he sat sat by Pharaoh's side,
when troubled by his dreams the monarch would confide. Seven years of plenty, then famine would ensue, he spared the land of Egypt and fed his brothers too!
Moses spoke to Pharaoh, let My people go. The stubborn ruler refused and had to be brought low. Pharaoh's heart was hardened by the hand of the Almighty, only through great trials would the Egyptian leader see, the false gods he worshipped were sent in plagues against him, YAHWEH'S ultimatum to make known the One, true Sovereign. The reason for the events, and Israel, Egypt's story, That they'll know I AM THE LORD, and all this for My glory!
Balak hired Balaam to try and curse Israel, due to Abraham's covenant each prophecy would fail, in Balak's futile efforts and false coerced attempt Israel prospered greatly, immune to curse, exempt! They ventured to the mountain top and there proclaimed the worst Balaam foretold great blessing, he simply couldn't curse. Despite the evil ambition and deadly false intent. The STONE, the STRENGTH OF ISRAEL will not lie nor relent!
Isaiah spake 'Woe to Assyria the rod of My anger' (Isaiah 10:5) for mistreatment of Israel and sore deeds against her. The boastful Sennacherib died by his own sword, His army destroyed by the ANGEL OF THE LORD!
Nebuchadnezzar, HIS servant, praised his own might and power, his dignity removed in that same foolish hour. A self exulted champion in an unlikely farce for seven years like an ox he chewed grass. Soon afterwards he magnified and praised EL SHADDAI, LORD OF LORDS, KING OF KINGS, no one can defy! Then when Daniel emerged and was unscathed by the lion Darius gave obeisance to the ruler of Zion!
Cyrus whose right hand I have held could now see His dominion GOD-given, and so he issued the decree, no longer would the Jewish people remain in their exile, you may go to the promised land, he ended their trial!
In Daniel the Medo-Persian ram was destroyed by the goat As prophesied Alexander conquered many and smote, though when he entered Jerusalem, he was greeted by Jaddua, little did he know it was directed by YESHUA!
The Magi met Herod, on their quest they were asking, for the ONE born in Bethlehem, bearing gifts for the KING Herod was envious of prophecy being fulfilled Herod ordered Hebrew boys under two to be killed. Yet through his cruel actions he further fulfilled prophecy Rachel wept for her children like no time in history Called out of Egypt and then onto Galilee Herod couldn't annul prophecy, playing his part in the further three!
Despite persecution the early church grew, the Romans killed many, seldom spared few, Through straight roads and travel destinations were reached, THE TRUTH was revealed as the gospel was preached.
Onesimus ran away and was counselled by Paul, who wrote to Philemon and offered to restore all, perhaps for this purpose he was gone for a season (see Philemon v15) Similarly YAHWEH spoke to Israel saying come let us reason!
Finally in Revelation we see the final score The beast shall turn on its rider, the Babyonian whore! Then the wretched serpent shall no longer aspire having hastily been cast into the lake of fire. From Genesis to Revelation the prototype, promise and seal, You shall bruise his head and he shall bruise Your heel!
Not my way - but YHWH!
Please note the name Yahweh is derived from the verb 'to be'. As He is the great I AM, His name means. I AM THAT I WILL BE. (He is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent ) I have deliberately capitalised references to the Almighty in this poem.Yahweh is able to use individuals, leaders or nations for His purposes for His will at any time He wishes, even when they are opposed to His will. Furthermore on occasions He even utilises the animal kingdom. Remember when Elijah was fed by ravens, the two she bears tore apart Elisha's mocking adversaries. Daniel was spared by the lions and a colt the foal of a donkey was riden on by our Saviour on Palm Sunday as prophesied in Zechariah 9:9.
Blessed be Yahweh, the great I AM, King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
AMEN! |
