How to Deal with Anxiety

  • Through Prayer
  • Resolve personal and spiritual conflicts - get right with God
  • State problem, clarify it and ask will it matter for eternity?

Worrying Wears our Bodies out

  • Separate facts from assumption and relate to situation.
  • Determine what right or ability we have to control the situation
  • List what we can do to resolve the situation, then follow through what we can do
  • Continually pray and focus on the truth

Fear of Failure

Every fear has an Object - so what is the fear of failure?

We can be successful in the eyes of God - but a complete failure in the eyes of the world.

"Make sure you are very strong and brave! Carefully obey all the law my servant Moses charged you to keep! Do not swerve from it to the right or the left, so you may be successful in all you do. This law scroll must not leave your lips! You must memorize it day and night so you can carefully obey all that is written in it. Then you will prosper and be successful." (Joshua 1:7-8)

"For we would not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who recommend themselves. But when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding." (2 Corinthians 10:12)

Our success is dependant on God and Gods Word. We must know God and Gods ways.

The Lord says, "Wise people should not boast that they are wise. Powerful people should not boast that they are powerful. Rich people should not boast that they are rich. If people want to boast, they should boast about this: They should boast that they understand and know me. They should boast that they know and understand that I, the Lord, act out of faithfulness, fairness, and justice in the earth and that I desire people to do these things," says the Lord. (2 Corinthians 10:12)

The Exams of this World are Meaningless in Gods World

"If someone thinks he has good reasons to put confidence in human credentials, I have more: I was circumcised on the eighth day, from the people of Israel and the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews. I lived according to the law as a Pharisee. In my zeal for God I persecuted the church. According to the righteousness stipulated in the law I was blameless. But these assets I have come to regard as liabilities because of Christ. More than that, I now regard all things as liabilities compared to the far greater value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things-indeed, I regard them as dung!-that I may gain Christ." (Philippians 3:4-8)

"Not that I have already attained this-that is, I have not already been perfected-but I strive to lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus also laid hold of me" (Philippians 3:12)

"Not only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:3-5)

We are already seated in the highest place!

Who we are, is far more important than what we do

Character before career

It is a moral failure to blame someone else.

A mistake is not a failure when we get up and learn from it.

Failure is the line of least persistence.

"The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur. That is the second death." (Revelation 21:7-8)
